Try and set up a workspace as far as possible from the rest of the house. This will allow you to relax and think about your business instead of being distracted by family members all the time.

2. Separate connection

Ideally, you’ll want to have a separate phone line and fast broadband connection from a service like https://www.lingo.com/business/broadband/.

This will help distinguish your home from your business and you’ll even be able to claim some of the costs as a business expense.

This ensures that you keep your home and business life separate and means you can use a different number to represent your business

3. Light exercise equipment

A lot of at-home entrepreneurs forget that they need to move their bodies around to stay healthy and alert.

Make sure you get up now and then to go for a walk and use some light exercise equipment (such as a jump rope, some light weights or even a mini stepper) to keep yourself in top condition.

4. Another computer

It’s very easy to get distracted if you use the family computer or a regular home computer for business purposes. You’ll be tempted to go on social media, play games, watch a film and do anything but work. With another computer, even if it’s something cheap, you can avoid installing software or bookmarking websites that will distract you.

5. Drawer system

Organising your home business documents is important if you want to keep everything from getting into a jumbled mess. You should look for a drawer system to help you store anything related to your work so you can easily find it.

6. Food preparation habits

If you want to maximise the amount of time you spend on your work it’s a good idea to get used to food prep. On the weekends, prepare yourself some simple breakfast and lunch meals and put them in containers that can easily be heated up. This will save you a lot of time and will prevent you from getting distracted with cooking.

7. Printer and scanner

A printer and scanner are essential for any home business. Although most of your work is online, you’ll eventually find yourself printing formal documents or being asked to scan certain things and send them over the internet.

8. Passion

Many people try to disconnect their passions from their business. However, turning something you love into a business can help you stay motivated.

Your passion will also show in the products and services you offer, making you seem like a genuine and trustworthy business. Try to pick a business idea that resonates with something you enjoy.

Did you know these 8 things? Wishing you every success in your at-home business.
