Selling online can seem like an easy way to make a quick buck. However, some challenges do come along with the territory. Ones that you will have to overcome to be successful. Luckily, you can find out all about these and how to deal with them our post below.

Finding stock

One challenge Mompreneurs will need to deal with when it comes to running an eCommerce store is sourcing stock.

Of course, you have several options to consider here, including designing and making your own items, sourcing them from wholesalers or via dropshipping.

You may even want to resell items other stores have struggled to move. You can go to www.journalgazette.net to find out more about this topic.

However, the key thing to remember is the cost of your stock needs to be as low as possible. Then the profit you can make on it will be higher, this being essential for your business to succeed.

Then you should be able to get what you are selling in front of just the right people it will appeal to. Something that can make the likelihood of closing a deal much stronger.

Minimizing risk

There is risk involved in running any sort of business. However, there is a particular type of problem that Entrepreneurs need to do their best to avoid when running an e-commerce store.

This is the issue of digital security, without which your customers can lose faith in your business and so make it very hard to succeed.

With that in mind, it is essential that you use an IT specialist like www.digitel.net who can detect existing vulnerabilities in the network and systems you are using.

Specialists that can help preserve not only your business’s productivity but also helps to keep your customer’s data as secure as possible as well. Something crucial for any e-commerce business that wants to build up a loyal customer base and succeed over the long term.

Customer service

When you are selling a product to a customer, the level of customer service you offer is also essential. After all, they will want the product that they have paid for with the minimum of hassle possible.

Of course, when running an eCommerce business, Mom Entrepreneurs won’t have the opportunity to interact with customers in a face to face way. Something that can mean the level of customer service suffers.

There are, however, some tactics that you can use to ensure even your online customer service is as effective as possible. In particular, adding a chat box like the ones discussed at https://techjury.net, on you buying and front pages can be helpful.  Then customers can interact with advisors live, and get answers to the questions they have.

Additionally, providing a thorough, hyperlinked FAQ page, as well as clearly displayed email addresses and telephone numbers can help overcome this issue when dealing with eCommerce.

How’s your eCommerce business doing?  Have you focused on each of these four core aspects? i.e. Sourcing or creating your own stock to sell, marketing, digital security and customer service?

      Thanks, great question.

The form of eCommerce I’m most interested in is digital products, such as ebooks and online courses. I sell these products as an Affiliate right now but this year I’m working on creating my own digital products as well. I have an online store on LaurenKinghorn.com, where I sell books and my online services.

I’m also busy setting up my first dropshipping store on that site. I know CBD Oil is extremely topical at the moment so that would be a great niche product to sell. I’m investigating some others at the moment. I think the trick is choosing not just what’s popular but what’s popular in your niche.
