Today’s Forbes Task: “Demote irrelevant Google sites links – While Google sites links are automatically generated, you can demote URLS you don’t want to show; this may increase the chances that the URLS you do want listed show up. You can do this from within Google Webmaster Tools.”
Oh-oh… I have not mastered Google Webmaster Tools by any stretch of the imagination. It took me the longest time to figure out to verify my site, and I’m still rather clueless. I logged into my Google Search Consol, verified my site again (for the umpteenth time – or am I supposed to do it every time?), and tried to find where I could demote site links. Hmm… got lost in there as usual.
Fortunately for me, I’ve been saved by the bell. As of 13 October 2016, Google no longer offers this option. Discovered the Article below by Search Engine Land.
Now to learn how to use “Fetch and Render”… oh no, this is another feature of Google Webmaster Tools! Guess there’s no escaping it.
