Invisalign: Increasing the Value of Your Natural Assets!
Your teeth are some of your most valuable natural assets.
Unfortunately sometimes patients are born with or develop a dental misalignment which can manifest in a number of different ways. You may have inherited an overbite, underbite or crowded mouth full of teeth or you may have sucked on your baby bottle for too long.
All of these may have left you with a condition referred to as malocclusion and for decades this was treated with traditional dental braces.
The condition can be corrected, but it’s more about making the treatment more comfortable and less visible.
In the mid 1990s a new alternative to braces was conceived and has seen enormous development over the past three decades.
Your teeth are more than a means of chewing your food, they are how you express yourself and can help you to enjoy health, wealth and happiness.
Providers of this service can use the latest Invisalign Clapham equipment to bring relief from dental misalignment to their patients.
Digitisation providing an insight
The equipment that has been developed around this new concept of using aligners as opposed to braces to correct misalignment has revolutionised how treatment is delivered.
Dentists are focused on treating you and allowing you to enjoy the benefits of having beautifully aligned teeth.
They will discuss your expectations and then after a thorough examination and using their 3D scanner and associated digital software they will show you how your smile will look once treatment has been completed.
You are then able to see if the result matches your expectations.
Discretion and comfort
One of the advantages of this treatment is that the aligners, which are often referred to as ‘trays’, are made from a clear thermoplastic material called SmartTrack.
These trays are comfortable to wear and are indiscernible, unlike metal dental braces. They are not attached to the front of your teeth, instead they fit over your teeth and can be compared to gum shields.
Another difference is the way in which this treatment works. Using computer aided technology a series of carefully designed trays are produced, based on you and your condition.
Each tray is different in orientation and is designed to gradually move your teeth into an aligned position.
There is no need to use dental putty to create a mould because the 3D scanner will take up to three thousand pictures per second of the inside of your mouth.
The software then pieces everything together to create a 3D image of the inside of your mouth. This data is utilised to design your treatment plan and is all done digitally.
All this information is forwarded to the laboratory who creates your trays. The number of trays required depends on your condition.
Treatment requirements
You are required to wear each tray for at least twenty-two hours per day, but you may remove them to enable you to enjoy a meal and to maintain your oral hygiene by brushing and flossing.
Each tray will also have to be worn for two to three weeks before the next tray in the series replaces the previous one.
This procedure can take from six to twenty-four months depending on the condition being treated.
Completion
Once your treatment has ended, you will be able to enjoy revealing your aligned teeth with a broad smile. You will be required to wear a final aligner to keep your teeth in their new location.
And voila! Your teeth have been straightened in the most modern way possible.
Increasing the Value of Your Natural Assets
And this is how Invisalign goes about increasing the value of your natural assets – your teeth are straight and your smile is prettier than it’s ever been, without the need for those old unsightly, less comfortable traditional braces.
