Obviously, this is not the right fit for everyone, but when conversing with a large group of mompreneurs we found that more than half of them had chosen to homeschool their kids for a couple of reasons.
The two main reasons were flexibility and quality time.
If you own your own business or are self-employed you often have the freedom to choose which days and hours you work. If this is the case, families like the freedom of homeschooling so that they can vacation or even live wherever and whenever they choose.
Some moms also expressed the importance of those few years when your kids are home and want to be with you.
As a mom, you can have it all. You do not have to miss out on special time with your kids to pursue your dreams.

Chances are if you are an entrepreneur you have a creative mindset. If that is true, there is an even greater chance that your child needs a creative outlet as well.

Along the same lines, there are many resources from experienced teachers that you have access to so you do not have to waste time reinventing the wheel.
Schedule
Have you heard of the block schedule? There are so many different ways to schedule with this method. The overall idea is breaking your day into blocks and having a game plan for what is going to be done during that time block of the day.
This gives you some flexibility while also adding a bit of structure.
Kids that are doing school from home need to know boundaries of when they can be in the kitchen preparing and eating food, when they can be playing outside and when is designated school time.

Wake Up Early
I know this sounds like the worst possible idea, but there is a lot of positive research behind it. Moms who take just thirty minutes per day to have time for themselves are more likely to be present for their children during the day and to have a more positive attitude.
If you set your alarm for thirty minutes earlier than you usually do, this will add up to an extra two and a half hours per week that you have all to yourself. This is an investment in your personal health and the overall improvement of quality of life for you and your family.
What you do during these thirty minutes is ultimately up to you, but make sure it doesn’t involve working in any way shape, or form. This time is meant to be enjoyed.
