If you don’t show your clients that you care for them and their business, you may lose them very quickly to your competitors.

So, how do you show them you care?

Let’s take a look at some of the ways below:

If you don’t show your clients that you care for them and their business, you may lose them very quickly to your competitors. So, how do you show them you care?Find The Problem And Solution

A great way to really show your clients that care about them, it to find out their problems and offer a solution. You can have the best product or service out there but if it doesn’t offer a solution to their problem, it’s just a waste.

You need to find the root of the problem before you can offer a solution.

Never make assumptions. Ask some of these questions:

  • Are you currently facing any hurdles as a business?
  • How are you solving them?
  • How do you feel about them?
  • How important is it to find a solution?
  • Are you in a position to find a solution budget-wise?

Keep Up To Date With Their Business

You can really show your clients that you care by going out of your way to learning about their business, services, and products.

Look at what they are currently doing, keep up with company news, announcements, and developments including social media posts, email newsletters, and new product launches.

Staying well informed of your clients’ movements also puts you in a better position to tackles problems with knowledgeable solutions.

Ask For And Offer Feedback

Working with business to business clients means you are having to deal with constantly changing wants and needs. Don’t wait around for your client to give you feedback, or come to you when you have done something wrong.

Pencil in regular meetings where you can ask for feedback as well as offer feedback. The more you can do this, the more you can build a relationship that is going to last. This shows that you are proactive and the right person or business to work with.

You could even consider sending thank you cards or gifts as a sign of your appreciation for working with you, or for giving you a great review. If you receive bad feedback, try not to defend yourself and instead, offer solutions to the way you can improve and become what they need you to be.

If you genuinely can’t meet their requirements, tell them this, they are more likely to use you again in the future if you are truthful.

Deliver What Has Been Agreed

This may seem really obvious, but it’s one of the easiest ways to show your clients that you care about their needs. Delivering on and keeping promises that have been made will ensure that your clients feel cared for and looked after. It won’t get you very far if you make promises and constantly fail on the delivery.

Make sure you speak to your client about what they expect from you, for example, clarify what they expect in terms of quality in a project, then you can work at meeting or exceeding their expectations. If you don’t have this conversation how are you going to deliver what they need?

Remember Their Preference And Name

Personalization is a brilliant way to show your clients that you care. It helps you to build a strong and lasting client relationship. Whether it’s learning their preferred name and pronouncing it correctly as well as remembering it the next time you see them, or taking note of their coffee order, it shows that you are valuable as a person and it stops them from feeling like you are just in it for the business. You should also make the effort to remember details such as how they like to pay, what reports they like, how often they like to meet, etc.

Staying on top of details like these show your clients that you are paying attention to what will keep them happy and make their working day run smoothly.  The whole idea is to make it as comfortable as possible to work with you. This can often mean having different processes for each client.

Even when dealing with business, humans prefer to have a personal connection. It helps you and your clients to build a trusting and lasting working relationship.
