With so many mommy blogs out there, it’s hard to come up with topics—especially if you’re trying to balance a job, your family, keeping up with friends, and coming up with great blog content. At times it can seem almost draining trying to compete with the next blogger.
If you ever find yourself stuck and don’t know what to write about, you can bet that baby gadgets are always a topic of conversation for any mother.
Cool Baby Gadgets
Here’s a list of some popular items new moms ought to know about.
1. Baby Chest Carrier
It’s hard not to come across a parent in the park, grocery store, airport, or on a walk without a baby carrier.
Why is it that some parents prefer certain brands or a different option all together such as a sling?
If you have experience using one yourself, you can give some personal insight into your experience and include your pros and cons.
A little advice can help parents decide which is the best one for them and their baby.
Note from the Editor:
Other than breastfeeding, one of my fondest memories of early motherhood was walking on the beach with my son in his Kango Carrier.
I bought a baby wrap just after my son was born but never figured out how to get him into it happily. The Kango Carrier worked for us because he could face out. My little guy didn’t like being confined or missing out on anything that was happening in the world, so swaddling wasn’t an option for us.
Every baby is different, every Mom is different – find what works best for you.
2. Shopping Cart Seat
As more and more millennials are having babies, the more internet searches there are for tools that make parenting easier.
A post covering what a shopping cart hammock is, and how to put a car seat in a shopping cart, can not only create awareness of such a helpful device, but it can also help new parents who are intimidated by tackling these types of chores with a newborn be calmer.
The highest concern for parents, new ones especially, is germs. Accessories like these will always be a hot item because it helps to avoid them.
3. Owlet Smart Sock
Along with germs, parents may also become paranoid thinking about SIDS, which causes a lack of sleep for Mom or Dad.
The Owlet Smart Sock is meant to be wrapped around your baby’s foot to monitor their heart rate and oxygen levels using a clinically proven method.
By keeping the base station close, parents will be alerted with lights and an alarm-like sound if their baby’s heart rate or oxygen levels change from the norm.
4. Baby Brezza Formula Maker
Gone are the days where midnight feedings consisted of waiting for water to heat up to make a baby bottle. Similar to a Keurig coffee maker, with the push of a button your formula and water come together and are dispensed into a baby bottle.
The machine doesn’t need to be shut off (except for cleanings), meaning, the water in the tank always stays warm and at a safe temperature for feedings.
With this gadget there’s no need to shake bottles, avoiding those air bubbles that cause gas in a baby when swallowed.
5. Baby Bullet
Once baby hits their six-month milestone, they are cleared to try solid foods. The best way to experiment with solids is by pureeing.
Since it’s hard to chew at this age due to a lack of teeth, the Magic Bullet comes in handy to puree anything on the spot. While some parents don’t mind shopping for jars of premade baby food, others prefer to keep baby food natural.
Parents who have a plant-based diet and would like to raise their baby in a vegan way may not like the ingredients used in store-bought baby food and therefore can control what their baby eats by making their food themselves with minimal effort.
As a blogger, if you have a large enough following of readers, you may be able to reach out to different baby brands and ask if you can have a sample to feature, especially if you haven’t used any of these yourself.
More than likely, brands will be open to giving out product in exchange for a blog and social media mentions to help with their marketing efforts.
