Helen Vella Holistic Health Wellness Coach inspiringmompreneurs

This week I had the immense privilege of interviewing Helen Vella, who has been a Holistic Health and Wellness Coach for almost all of her working life.  Helen is an absolute expert in her field, she is highly trained in various modalities including NLP, EFT and Hypnosis.  Helen has written 5 books and is currently working on another two books.

How long have you been an Entrepreneur?

I’ve been an Entrepreneur since I was a teenager and now I’m a Grandmother so it’s been a long, long time.

I’d love to know what were you doing as a teenager?

When I lived in Adelaide, Australia, I had my own business at 19… no… 20, so I was just out of my teens.

I used to hire plants, the green growing plants (not artificial plants) to offices and stores because living in hot countries, you have air-conditioning all the time and plants don’t like air-conditioning that much. So what I did, as a company, was to switch the plants out to rest them from the air conditioning so the premises always had fresh nice looking plants.

The restaurants, hotels, offices would hire the plants and we would go in and switch them out, rest them, put them in the greenhouse and clean them and all that sort of thing.

What an interesting business… how did you come up with that idea?

I love plants. I worked in an office as well and they didn’t have any plants at all. I didn’t like not being around plants. So my girlfriend and I came up with this idea of hiring out plants, and I think we had only one competitor at the time. So it was really good.  We bought out the competitor.

I did that for 10 years in Australia.

When did you get married and have children?

I was married at 18, in London, and moved to Australia a year later. I had my daughter when I was 28 in Australia. So I was married 10 years before I had her. And, after she was born, when she was 2 and a half we went back to London. I stayed in London right up until 14 years ago, when I moved to Florida.

Wow, you’ve lived all over the globe.

I have but I’ve never been to South Africa. I’ve always wanted to see Cape Town and Table Mountain.

When I lived in Australia Adelaide was voted the easiest place to get around, because it’s well laid out. It’s on the East Coast, South of Sydney. Adelaide is on the bottom right-hand corner of the map.

Where have you enjoyed the most?

Australia.

Florida is different. The climate is very good, but it’s smaller than Australia, and it’s more compact and diverse. You have lots of different nationalities in Florida, whereas in Australia, though there’s a lot of people from different nationalities living there, it’s not as compact. Where I lived is near Miami, so there’s a lot of people there.

Do you consider yourself a Successful Entrepreneur?

Yes, successful in the fact that I am self-motivated. I know my niche, I’ve stayed within my niche all these years, and I’m an expert in what I do. So yes, I’m successful in that respect, and at one point, my business was very flourishing, very good, exactly where I wanted it to be. So yes, I would say successful.

With what you’re doing, a Holistic Life Coach, were you restricted to making money by the hour? Or did you have other sources of income, for example, your books, during those years when your business was flourishing?

What happened was, when I was flourishing, I was doing my workshops, my coaching and I was doing groups, and it was very busy. It was hourly or by the event.

And then I had an accident where I fell over, and I hurt my back really badly.  I was paralysed for almost a year, and couldn’t walk properly for at least two years. So in that period of time, my business completely went, because, well I didn’t have other streams of income. My income was me.

So whiTap and Grow Rich Helen Vella inspiringmompreneurs.comBusiness Networking Essentials Helen Vella inspiringmompreneurs.comlFrom Negative to Positive Helen Vella inspiringmompreneurs.come I was lying flat on back, that’s when I realised you can’t have all your eggs in one basket. So, consequently, that’s when I started writing my books, and that’s when I decided there needs to be other ways of making money apart from your hourly business and your events and your keynotes, and all that sort of thing, because, without you, there isn’t anything.

That’s when I started to do my videos and my books and my websites, affiliates and all that sort of thing. So I’ve just been building those up over, probably the last year. I’m re-inventing, re-building myself.

BecaTapping for Emotional Eating Helen Vella inspiringmompreneurs.comusTap Your Grief Away Helen Vella inspiringmompreneurs.come my accident was 5 years ago and then it took me 2 years to recover and then I had to re-build, re-start, relocate. At this point I had lost everything, I was homeless. So I had to re-build and re-learn a lot of things. So, it’s only I would say, in the last year, that I’ve got back into things seriously.

Wow, so that has been quite a tragedy and also quite a wake-up call… how interesting.

Absolutely. And when you’re in the holistic world, and you deal with all of your challenges, you tend to look at things and say, okay, what’s my lesson from this? What was it that put me flat on my back, what was it that paralysed me from moving forward, what is my lesson here?

And my lesson was that I was taking my business away from my passion, and I was trying to fit into other people’s niches, instead of staying in mine.

I also wasn’t listening to the messages. The message was obviously, if you’re not going to listen, then the plan is to be flat on your back and you can stay there until you hear the message.

So what I did was, when I was laying on my back and I could just start to move my arms, I would lay in my bed with my laptop and re-design my websites and re-work everything, so that all materials were back to my holistic way of teaching things.

Fantastic. That’s amazing. Okay, so you’d gone off on a bit of a tangent and it was a very powerful way of bringing in business, but it wasn’t your way, it wasn’t authentic, for you…

Correct, for me.

Where were you at this stage?

I was in Orlando. My business in London was going really well and then I moved to Orlando and again started in Orlando, only to realise that, 14 years ago, there wasn’t a niche for what I did, basically. People hadn’t even heard of what I had done. I was doing EFT, Hypnosis, NLP, all of that, which was like a foreign language.

So I converted the NLP, which can be used for business and that’s what I did. I converted it for Sales, for Communication skills, for Network Marketing and that sort of thing.  I was teaching in banks and teaching multi-level marketing companies, how to communicate, how to recognise how to communicate, that sort of thing.

So now you’ve gone back to…?

The same thing, but only on a different level.  I work with children. I’m back working with children again.  And I’m about to write a book with one of my Grand-daughters, who’s 14.

We’re about to write a book about going through puberty, and 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade, how bad it is, the stress they’re under, why there are so many suicides in that age group and that sort of thing.

Helen Vella My Passion inspiringmompreneurs.comSo I’ve got back into helping people with their emotional communication with themselves. I can still work with all the other stuff, but my passion is helping people understand who they are, the real person, the real individual and living their truth.  Living their values, living their ethics and their morals.

Beautiful, that’s amazing.

And a lot of what I do is help Mums with children.

I focus on the Moms, but for example, I’m working with a 3-year-old next week, who’s seeing monsters. That’s a common thing in children, but how you deal with it will affect how they fear things in the future. There’s a specific way to deal with this and I’ve done it quite a lot of times. Kids come to me with behavioural issues or learning issues, as perceived by an adult, but it’s learning the child’s learning style and also their emotional dealings with what is going in their lives.

In today’s world, there are a lot of single parents so bringing up a child is very different to how it was in the old days. I’m just doing some studies and finding that there so many single parents and a lot of the children live with the mother, the fathers are not always around. So there’s a lot of female energy because at school there are usually more female teachers than male teachers as well, so there’s not a lot of male energy in their lives. It’s interesting to see the balance of the new kids coming up, and where they get their male energy from.

[And that can be very dangerous in society, from what I understand… I’ve worked with a man over here in South Africa who has a trauma counselling company and he works with particularly rape cases, both victims and perpetrators.  He has worked with some really scary rapists, talked with them, found out where they came from, how they became who they became.  He says that almost always when you see someone who’s really in trouble and doing really horrible things to other people, it’s because they have an absent father or abusive father.

He says that in the middle class you don’t see a lot of boys who become extremely violent against women or children.  You see it in the very high echelons and the very low echelons because the father is absent.  In families with plenty of money, the fathers are seldom home because they are working such long hours or away on business trips.  Families with no money have fathers who work more than one job or they disappear and the mother is left alone to raise her children. That’s where problems come in.

So the work you’re doing must be amazing.]

Yes, it’s very rewarding, it’s just that you want to help everybody, all the time and you can’t. You can only help some of the people, some of the time.  So I’m hoping that the book I’m going to do with my Grand-daughter…our aim is to get in schools, so we can start teaching social skills to schools at a very early age, which they don’t do a lot of.

Which technique or modality do you use the most?

NLP. When I’m communicating it’s NLP, but what I teach my clients is EFT and I do EFT at every single session. I teach all of them EFT. NLP you can’t teach them as much, but even just talking, as you know, it’s Neuro Linguistic Programming so you’re using linguistics all the time. So my languaging is completely different with each client and they’re not usually aware of what’s going on.  I also make them aware of their own linguistics.

And the hypnosis? Do you use that much?

All the time. Yeah, Smoking, Phobias, Weight Loss, Past Life Regressions.

Do you find that any of it scares people’s off, or are they quite open nowadays?

It’s changed a lot. When I was in the UK, everyone knew NLP and EFT.  In America, even though both modalities were founded here or made public here (by the media), the Americans haven’t taken it to as much as the British.

But isn’t that because you’re in Florida and not California? Aren’t you on the opposite side of the country to where all of these things started?

Well, I can’t speak for California, but I can speak for the community because I belong to the Associations. And if you look at the comparable amount of Practitioners in the US in comparison to the UK and you keep in mind that the UK is a lot smaller, it has a lot more Practitioners.

I’ve been in Florida for 14 years, and things have changed a lot. There has been a shift, but it’s still something that, especially the older generation, they’re either into it, or they’re not, there’s no swaying.

Those of the younger generation are more into holistic methods because they are getting back to natural foods, working out, yoga and meditation. Once you get someone who’s involved with Yoga and Meditation, working out, healthy eating, then you’ve usually got someone that’s going to be okay with NLP, EFT and Hypnosis.

I agree with you. I’m into all of those… even Pilates can be a gateway.

Yes. Anything that’s self-improvement. They say they’re into Steven Covey or Anthony Robbins, or they listen to Wayne Dyer… any self-improvement, you’ve usually got a gateway.

When did you take the decision to become an Entrepreneur?

I know the answer to that one already: when you were 20.

Why did you take the decision to become an Entrepreneur?

Helen Vella and family inspiringmompreneurs.com

Basically, because I like my own time, I like my own schedule. I’m definitely a person who doesn’t take to being told what to do with my time, very easily. So, working in Corporate, which I have done, obviously, is very restrictive and it takes up your whole life. Especially if you are an Executive, there isn’t any time for anything else.

So… having my own time: so if I decide… for example, after this interview I’ll go pick up my Grandkids. I’ll pick up my Grandkids for the afternoon and I’m having them overnight and all day tomorrow. Now, it’s a working week, but schools are out, and my daughter is a single mother, so I’m in a position where I can arrange my schedule to help her with the kids.

And I like the fact that if I want to meet a girlfriend for lunch, I can do that. Or, if I want to just take the day off because I want to read, or catch up on things to do with what I do. You know you’ve always got to keep up with research, you’ve always got to keep up with the latest trends and everything. If I just want to sit out on balcony and read all day, I can do that also. If I want to stay in my pajamas all day, I can do that too.

I like having my own schedule, and I work it really well. I’m not one of those one’s that goes, “Aw, I’ve got to motivate myself”.  I’m not like that.  As soon as I get up, I’m doing something.

Well that’s because you’re living your passion, isn’t it?

Yes. Exactly.

You’ve always got something to do that you want to do, right?

Yes. Exactly.

Share any highs or lows in your career as a Mompreneur? You did touch on some of them but I’m sure you want to elaborate on some of them…

Well, the low was when I hurt my back.

The highs are probably the times when I’ve gone into detention centres with young teenage girls and helped them with EFT. Can’t do anything about getting them out of jail or anything like that, but while they’re in there and the emotions they’re going through, they’ve got a tool.

And the other highlight was probably when I was asked to speak to some Brownies (Junior Girl Scouts) and one of the badges that they had to get was to learn EFT. I went in and taught them and I didn’t know it was a badge until I finished. I went in and taught them EFT and there was a group of about 35 of them. That was great.

And the other thing was, my Grandchildren have done EFT since they were born, and when one of them was 7, she helped me teach a group of 7-year-old’s. She was great, she was really good.

Oh, wow, that is amazing.

So there are just some of the highlights. You know, it’s definitely working with kids, for sure.

And is she the same grand-daughter who’s writing the book with you?

Yeah, yes.

So she’s really strong on EFT, she’ll probably land up doing it as a profession as well.

Yes, definitely.

Oh, that’s amazing, to start out so young! How different her life will be to most other lives.

Well, we used EFT and Hypnosis to deliver them. I was in the Labour room with my daughter and I used hypnosis and EFT to deliver them and then used EFT on them when they were born.

So your daughter is obviously just as open.  Absolutely.

I got remarried this year.

Oh, Congratulations!

Thank you. Yes (with a giggle).

But you went through really hard times while you were a Solopreneur. It’s really tough when you have your own business, and as you say, you lost everything. And at that point, you had no one to support you.

I was by myself, yeah.

That’s rough, that’s really rough.

Yes, it was very rough.

Right, exactly.

So you’ve been through some tough years, and it’s all starting to come together again now for you?

It is, yes. Everything seems to be moving along the way I want it to be, and I’ve got some great support and I’ve got some wonderful clients, and I’ve got quite a few things in the pipeline, so yeah, things are looking good.

And obviously a lovely husband…

And a brand new husband who’s amazing, yes!

That sounds lovely.

Daily Rituals Helen Vella inspiringmompreneurs.comWhat daily rituals are important for you to maintain a work-life balance?

Well, it’s funny you should ask that. Just before we spoke I just got myself a new schedule for the New Year. When I get up in the morning, everything’s got to be organised and my bed has to be made, everything’s got to be tidy, everything’s got to be good, otherwise my brain won’t work.

Then I have my schedule for the day. I incorporate my exercise, I incorporate my writing, I incorporate my videos, and everything that goes around preparing all of those things, because you know yourself – you blog yourself – you know, it’s not just sitting at the computer writing. You’ve got to do research, you’ve got to find the right photos, you’ve got to get the right keywords, you’ve got to get all this sort of stuff.

And then I obviously go out networking and I see clients and I give talks, so I have to balance all of that. So my calendar is with me all the time. I have an electronic calendar and I always have a manual calendar. My manual calendar I can see the whole week, so I always look at what I’ve got so I know what to prepare for. And I know when I can fit things in, and block things out. So if I want to spend time with the kids or I look at my calendar and I go, wow, you haven’t taken a break for a while. Okay, that day you’re going to block out 2 hours for the beach or whatever.

So I like to be organized and I multi-task, so when I’m out walking and doing my exercise, I’ll incorporate going to the Supermarket at the same time, on the way back. So I always have my Time Management things going on as well.

Wow, that sounds busy, productive…

I’m one of those, I like to be organised.

That’s why you accomplish so much.  I noticed you’ve written a number of books.

I’ve written 5 and I’ve written a few booklets for workshops and I’m just in the process of writing 2 other books right now.

So those daily rituals sound amazing. It sounds like you are SUPER organised and absolutely living NLP.

And do you feel like you’re living your passion? You’ve answered that. You are AGAIN living your passion. And I think even when you weren’t completely living your passion, you were still partly living your passion, weren’t you?

Yes, I was.

You were never completely off…

No, I wasn’t completely off. It was just it meant that I had to research in other directions in the Corporate world, and you’ve got lots of restrictions within that world, so I had to change my language a lot to incorporate what I was doing. Whereas if I’m talking to people that are wanting to get rid of their stress, their anxiety, or their phobias and fears, or they want to do a past life regression or something like that, they are like-minded, so I can use those words and not have to be afraid of saying “Universe”, or the “Angels”… I could use the language that comes to me naturally. Whereas in Corporate you can’t be away with the fairies, it doesn’t work.

I’ve always found that the people who do best in this Industry are those people who are able to use normal language when they have to. It’s a very important skill to learn, because if you don’t learn that, if you are always “away with the fairies”, you don’t access that market at all.

And plus the fact, you give the product and the group… you don’t give them a good, positive experience for the rest of the world. So if you’re going to walk around like some New Age hippie all the time, then that’s the perception that the world has, as soon as you mention anything to do with NLP, EFT… aah, you’re a New Age hippie.

I go, EFT… and then the second words out of my mouth are, this is not New Age, this has been around since 5000 BC. I constantly tell people this is not New Age, because if you act like you’ve just come out of the 60’s, the Flower Power people, that’s what people think it is.

But the moment you say, it’s not New Age, don’t they think New Age… isn’t that tricky languaging as per NLP?

No, as soon as you back it up with the research, you’re good. I always give good examples, I always give good recognition of where it came from. I mention Chinese philosophers people would know, so they’ve got a reference. The word New Age has disappeared by that time. And they’ve now got new references.

Because when people hear something, they now have to activate (talking NLP), they have to activate something in their brain that’s going to give them recognition. They have to open a file. If you mention EFT, they don’t have the file for EFT, so you have to give them the file. So I give them the reference. It’s 5000BC, it’s Ancient Chinese Art, it’s like Acupuncture without the needles. Now they’ve got a reference. If you say EFT now, that’s the file they open.

It’s interesting you say that, because it was only when I, in my mind, linked EFT up to Acupuncture, that I really got EFT. Because before that, I have to admit, I thought it was pretty kookie. I thought, well, I’m learning this stuff, it’s working, but it seems like the kookiest thing I’ve ever done. I don’t get it. And then, when I was taught that it was all based on Acupuncture points, the penny dropped. That is the thing that made me realise, aah, but that is so powerful. Because I had studied Shiatsu, so I knew how powerful it was to access Acupuncture points.

Amazing, I do think the Acupuncture angle is what makes the difference. I hadn’t thought of the whole history behind it though.

Oh yeah, I always mention that, because otherwise, they think you’ve just invented it.

New… new equals New Age… yeah.

What advice would you give someone just starting out as an entrepreneur?

Know Your Passion Helen Vella inspiringmompreneursI would say: Know your Passion. Make sure that you know that it’s hard work. It’s not a 9 to 5 job, it’s 24-7, because as you know, you can have an idea pop into your head at 2 in the morning, and you get out of bed and you have to do something about it.

And you must want to have it with your mind, your body and your soul.

And you can’t let anyone deter you from what your passion is.

And I’ll give you a perfect example. My second husband had no idea of what I did, and we were married for 15 years. He didn’t know it, he didn’t want to know it, he didn’t understand it. And when you’re doing Energy work, and you’re around low energy people, it affects how you work, and as an Empath and an Energy worker, I had to make a decision, and I did.

So you have to make the choices, and you have to be able to know what you really want, deep down inside. And this is what I teach, knowing yourself and knowing you as an individual and living your true self.

So if you know that, and you want to be an Entrepreneur, you have to be convinced that what you are doing is 100% right. So whatever you’re going to have, you know that if no-one else has got it, you’re going to stick with it until everyone has got one. Or if everyone else has got one, and is using it the wrong way, you’re going to stick with it so they’ll all be using it the right way. So if you can’t be deterred by other people, you might lose some people along the way.

Phil and Helen

Phil and Helen

So obviously your new husband is interested in your work…

Oh yes. I was single for a very, very, very long time, because I have my criteria, which was, amongst other things, they have to be of the same mindset. And, as late in life as this is, he’s perfect. We’re on the same wave-length, we’re the same Blood Group and I’ve got a rare Blood Group. There’s only 2% of the population who have my Blood Group, and he’s got it.

There are just so many… you know, we don’t complete each other’s sentences, we say each other’s sentences at the same time. So everything that I do, he’s very, very supportive of and he talks about what I do all the time. And on social media, he’ll always make sure that he shares all of my posts on his Timeline and all that sort of thing. So, yes, he’s 100% behind me.

When I asked how many days a week you work and you said 5, I thought: aah, an Entrepreneur with some balance. Because most of the Entrepreneurs I’ve spoken to are working 7 days a week, 12 hours a day and it feels like crazy, crazy hours. And I can see how easily that happens, but when you have a family…

I totally agree, but it’s discipline. Keep in mind your own business is 24-7, if you let it be. But if you’re organised and you have a plan, then you can have balance. And keep in mind, that I’m a Life Coach, and I teach life balance. I have to practice what I preach.

Because when I’m showing my clients how to live the Wheel of Life in Balance, I can then show them, look: here’s my schedule, here’s my calendar and they can see my things that I do to prove to them that I do it – and it does work.

So I do map out some times, and you know what it’s like, you get an idea – the kids are in bed, you get an idea and you get up and you start researching and you go down this rabbit hole and then down that rabbit hole, and before you know it, it’s 2 in the morning. Yes, there are still times I do that but keep in mind, I’m older now and I’ve been doing this a long time… but I do now have cut-off points.

I will go right, okay, my husband gets home by 3:30 in the afternoon. By the time we’re ready for dinner, I’ll go, “right, 6 o’clock, cut-off, we’ll go have dinner”. But if I’m working on something and I’m not near my deadline, then I will say, “okay, after dinner I’m going to work for a couple of hours”.

So there is that caveat, whereby there are other times.

Now weekends… the reason I don’t work weekends is that, if you look at your social media, your emails and all that stuff that goes on, most people are not working on the weekends. Your emails are automated, your social media is all social stuff, pictures of the kids and look at this food I’m eating. So people are not in work mode anyway. Now if you’re selling something, then is this the time that perhaps people are wanting to buy, but if you know your market, you also know when you can take times off. And if you also do research on different times marketing and social media happens.

If you look at the Retail stores, they’re open 24-7 right now, because everyone’s off work and they’re spending their Christmas money. They also know that in January they’re not selling anything, but what they’re selling is credit cards, they’re selling low-interest stuff, because everyone’s overspent. And they’re selling weight loss and they’re selling fitness.

Right, so you’ve got to know your niche, and you’ve got to know your times. And there’s so much automation these days, that you don’t have to work 24-7, if you’re organised.

I’m not talking about the creativity side of it, because we’ve all woken up at 2 in the morning with a great idea, and we’ve got out of bed, and got on with it. I’m not talking about that, but the majority of the time, if you can get your schedule to work so that you’ve got time off, then you’re good.

Aah, that’s a great answer, thank you.

It’s very nice to see someone who has a good balance. I’m sure it wasn’t there all of the time. I can imagine that there those times, when you were single and when your business was really rocking, you were working long hours. It just happens.

It does, you’re absolutely right.

But I think that when you have a family, there’s also another focus that isn’t all about work.

Correct, exactly.

Is there anything you feel you gained by becoming an entrepreneur?

Lots of things because you meet such a diverse amount of people when you’re allowed to frequent and chase your passion. So you learn so many things, you never stop learning.

You learn so many things and do so many things you’d never do because you’re not sat in the same office every day, with the same people, day in, day out. Working for yourself, even if you’re not out and about – say you’re an online entrepreneur – you’re still meeting lots of people, that’s how we met. You’re still meeting diverse people from all over the world, and you’re learning different things about cultures, ideas, how to do things. You never stop learning. You wouldn’t have that opportunity if you were working in an environment where you just have one thing to do.

It’s so true. That is big.

Do you feel you chose an easy path or a difficult one?

I’m going to say something where people are going to go, “Really”? I’m going to go, “Difficult”.

For the reasons we said earlier, what I do,  it’s still considered New Age. But mainly because we’re battling against pharmaceutical companies. When someone comes out, an Authority figure, a famous Chiropractor, a famous Acupuncturist, when someone with Authority comes out and says something… Like, there was something on TV the other day about this new concept of curing Cancer.   It was on the Dr. Oz show, and it was a whole thing. Now you can guarantee… it’s just aired and you can guarantee the Pharmaceutical companies are now going to do a whole thing on Cancer and why you should be using Chemotherapy, why you should be taking this and doing that – we’re constantly battling against the Pharmaceutical companies. I am not saying that getting medical treatment does not work and there have been many cases where people are in remission due to taking chemo etc.  I am saying there are alternatives that are not so hard on the body and do not have as many side affects.

If you’re reading any Research that’s done by any sort of MD person, they’ll always say, “Oh, Acupuncture does this and this but there’s no Scientific Research to prove this. Chiropractic does this and this and this, but there’s no Scientific Research to prove this”. So you’re always battling against the Pharmaceutical companies around the world, who run the world.

But what I’m trying to do is go down the Integrated way of doing this, because you need both. If you or I broke a leg next week, we’d have to go to a Surgeon to get the bone put back, but then afterwards we’d use holistic medicine for recovery. It has to be integrated.

Also, in Australia, when I lived there, there was a lot of Preventative, so you went for Preventative things. You started eating the right foods, taking the right Vitamins, getting the right exercise to prevent all those things, whereas you know… The Pharmaceuticals are going, “You’re Vitamin D deficient, so take this Drug”. Well, why not Vitamin D?

There’s always got to be some disease or something to fight. But that’s what I find. A lot of physical pain is caused by emotional stress, and they’re just starting now to say that Stress causes heart attacks, well duh…

So we are getting the correlation of Emotional moving into Physical, in the Medical world now, but we’ve known that since time began. It’s trying to get people to look at dealing with their emotions, dealing with their stress, except now we have to do it from a younger age.

The very first question I always ask the client is, “Where do your stress levels sit on a normal day to day basis”?  When I started doing this work 25 years ago, they were always at 2’s, 1’s, zero’s, maybe 3 at a push. But now they’re at 8’s, 7’s… everybody, even kids.

The stress levels are so high. That’s why there are so many people dying younger. That’s why there are so many kids doing the negative things they are doing.

It’s trying to get the stress levels down and trying to make the people aware of where they are, also. That’s why it’s difficult because you’re still battling against Traditional Medicine.

In America, they’ve got kids on Antidepressants from 3 years old. I mean, really?

And sleeping tablets. I know – hugs, a bit of lavender oil, a bit of meditation music…

Who is your target market? If I were to give you a referral, who would I be looking for?

  • People who have got high stress levels – which is everybody.
  • People that are overwhelmed or not coping.
  • Children that are angry all the time.
  • Children that are not sleeping well.
  • Adults that just don’t know what they are doing in life or have lost direction or hope.
  • Adults feeling, I’m stressed, I’m overwhelmed, I’m on this wheel that I can’t get off.
  • People that have fears, phobias, anxiety and panic attacks.
  • People who want to quit smoking.
  • People who want to manage their weight.

Also people that are healthy, normal, and reading all the above and thinking, well, that’s not me.

  • People who want to reach their goals.
  • People who want to balance out their lives so they have got balance in their career, their relationships, their health, their spirituality.

I usually find people are out of balance in a few different spots of their lives.   Sometimes it is just a quick fix and sometimes it takes a little longer.

  • People that just want guidance on how to be more organised in Time Management
  • People that want to live a healthier, happier, more fulfilling life.

Is your Market Local or International?

I’ve got clients all over the world and I use Skype a lot. EFT, Hypnosis and all the techniques I practice work very well on Skype.  As well as phone calls and in person.

Brilliant.  Anything you’d like to add?

Because there are so many ways to get information out there – I am open to guest blogging.

Wow, what an amazing lady. How incredible to keep reinventing herself – and starting out so young with such a simple but effective business. A lot of people would crumble going through what she has but she was determined and never gave up. An inspiration to us all.

    Thanks for sharing.

Wow, this is really inspirational, I was highlighting some texts so I could save on my notes app.
She really has great passion and what she is doing. I like that she has been traveling all over the place. That’s what I always want, and this interview has really inspired me to work even harder towards my own online business.
